Created by Space Wizard Science Fantasy

We are an indie publishing house focusing on queer science fiction and fantasy. This is our third year bringing you amazing scifi and fantasy stories!

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Less than $1000 to go!
over 1 year ago – Tue, Jun 25, 2024 at 06:51:06 AM

We had a lot of great movement over the weekend, and blasted through the $10,000 milestone! I'll have the martial arts video to you hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning (my fellow practitioners had a beach trip already planned over the weekend).

In the meantime, here's the link to the stretching routine from the first How To Operate Your Body book. It's a great way to destress after a long workday (or a monthlong crowdfunding campaign...)

One more exciting piece of news! We have the preliminary cover for Space Station X! There was a lot of goings-on the background to make sure this cover hit right, and we originally wanted to have it a couple weeks ago, but I think this version really captures the feel of the book! This isn't the final, and there will be a few more small changes, but it's almost complete!

Next update, I'll have even more covers for you: the final versions of Foxfire in the Snow, and Oceans of Fireflies, and I hope to also show off the cover for my new book, Physical Magic, before the end of the campaign!

Lots going on in these last days, so please keep sharing with friends and family, and let's take this over the finish line!

Over $8500. So close to funding!
over 1 year ago – Thu, Jun 20, 2024 at 01:40:31 PM

Hi Folks!

Thanks so much everyone for the past few days, and hello to the new backers! We're getting so close to the finding goal, so please keep sharing with everyone you know who wants more queer books!

We've also got another funding goal coming up: At $10,000, I'm going to show off some martial arts skills with our new copy editor, Courtney Brooks! Both of us are black belts in Wado-Ryu Karate. We're going to film some different things: maybe a few katas, some sparring, and I'll also share the stretching routing I put together for my nonfiction book last year, How To Operate Your Body. The next one is included in this campaign, focusing on the arms, so if you get tight shoulders from working on the computer too much like I do, pick up a copy!

I've also got another recommendation for you. If you live with an artist or creator, or you are one yourself, Check out Sandra Tayler's campaign for Structuring Life to Support Creativity. I've attended her workshops before, and I'm very much looking forward to the book (I backed it the first day)! See the campaign here!

That's it for now! I'll see you at $10,000!

We're past $7500 and close to $8000! Backers get a sweet reward (see below)...
over 1 year ago – Tue, Jun 18, 2024 at 06:35:09 PM

Hi folks!

We're over $7500 tonight, and that means backers get an extra video of how I process honey from my beehives. You have to be a backer to see it!

We're also part of BackerKit's Pride 2024 drive! There are some amazing projects (including mine) so let's get as many funded as possible!

The poll for the Lesbians in Space! t-shirt is pretty definite on the navy blue color, so that's the one we'll go with! If you've been waiting on the results, now's a great time to go in and choose the t-shirt as an addon!

Last (but not least!) I also have another book project for you to check out! Paula Sheridan, who does a lot of great marketing support for indie authors, is running her first campaign for a book based on the true story of an African man who lived most of his life without an official identity in apartheid Africa. He happened to live with Paula for many years, so this is a story near and dear to her heart. Check it out here!

And now, to see the honey harvesting video, you'll need to click through below (where it says "Reply to this Update" or "Follow this Project") to see it!

Passing $7000!
over 1 year ago – Sun, Jun 16, 2024 at 07:24:29 PM

Just a quick update that we passed $7000 today, and thanks to our new backers! We're going slower in these middle weeks, but we're getting there!

Remember you get a new honey-based video at $7500, so let's pass that next milestone!

One other thing. My press, Space Wizard Science Fantasy, will be having an AMA on r/Fantasy on Tuesday June 18th, so come and say hi if you reddit! The Space Wizard authors will be popping in during the day to comment on their books and tell what's coming up, and I'll be talking about the press, the campaign, and the new RPGs.
If you do drop by, please give the post an upvote. r/Fantasy has a continual problem with trolls downvoting posts focusing on queer content, so this year, the users are making this issue known and posting a lot of content for Pride Month. Show your support! I'll throw the link out that morning when I post.

See you then, and please keep sharing the campaign with friends, family, and anyone else you can think of!

Over halfway! Keep sharing!
almost 2 years ago – Wed, Jun 12, 2024 at 11:36:33 AM

Hi Folks!

We are over halfway funded, but we're also in the middle "slow weeks" of the campaign. That means anyone you can share the campaign with, in person or online, is even more helpful than before!

But we've still got some great content for you. First, when we get to $7500 (so a little under $1000 more), I have a "sweet" video to share with you! Lets get to that next goal!

We're also contemplating a new T-shirt addon: for Lesbians in Spaaace!

There's a new poll running. What color do you prefer? Just click on the image and check it out!

See what your friends think as well! Feel free to pass this along, if you think someone you know might like a new book, or T-shirt, or RPG!

Speaking of which, I have two other book projects you might be interested in. The first is Southern Fried Cthulhu: An Anthology of Lovecraftian Mythos Fiction with a Southern Flair, by my fellow writer James Palmer.
Check it out!

The second is eSpec Book's tenth anniversary, with Something for Everyone! They've got a bunch of great book, and just like my campaign, you can pick which ones you want! Go give them a visit!

That's it for now, but I'll be back in a few days with another update. If you're in Charlotte NC this weekend, come see us at HeroesCon, in booth booth C-AA-401, near the cosplay stage!
